Renacer Group

Each of the group members has their own business: some sell clothing, shoes, handicrafts, dry goods, baked goods, and cosmetics; others work as tailors, make hammocks or run lunch counters. All of the group members have one to five years of experience in their respective businesses, except for Doña Candelaria Maria, who has been running her lunch counter for twenty years!

The group members say they will use this loan to buy more ingredients to make their products or tools for their businesses. Most of the group members have had previous experience with group loans at other Bolivian microfinance institutions. They all promise to make their repayments on time.



About Group Loans
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee. Under this arrangement, each member of the group supports one another and is responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members if someone is delinquent or defaults. Learn more
