She first sold sandwiches, and then used clothing to her friends and neighbors. Since her business was prosperous, she then purchased some jewelry to sell. She has been successful in this field as well, and her sales have been increasing more and more. The previous loan that she obtained from Kiva helped her a lot because upon investing it, she was able to obtain good profits. Currently, aside from selling jewelry, she has also started to sell footwear for men, women, and children.

Irma el negocio porqué le gusta mucho las ventas y además quería contar con un ingreso extra aparte del que recibo de su esposo, por eso siempre se ha dedicado al comercio y además para mantenerse activa. Comenzó en el negocio de las ventas desde 1981, desde entonces ha vendido tortas, después, ropa de segunda entre amistades y vecinos y como le fue bien, compró algo de joyería y también le fue muy bien y sus ventas han ido aumentando cada vez mas. El crédito anterior de KIVA le ayudó bastante ya que al invertirlo pudo obtener buenas ganancias. En la actualidad, aparte de la venta de joyería también ha comenzado a vender calzado para dama, caballero y niño.
