Journal Update

Entrepreneur: Sok Kimrun
Location: Kampong Cham, Cambodia

A loan officer recently visited Kimrun to check how she used the loan. We found out that she took a loan to purchase cow to breed. She and her husband have sold the cow with a significant profit. With this profit, she bought construction materials for her husband. So far, her husband has enough tools to do the construction. Currently, he is able to make about US$3.5 every day. On of her children also work in construction sector and he can earn US$3 per day. A week this family typically save US$10 to US$15. In the future, she plans to open a grocery store so that she can make an additional income to help improve the standard of living.

She would like to say thank to all Kiva lenders who help support Cambodian entrepreneurs.
