Afiwo Yevugah is married and has 6 children. She has received schooling through senior high school. Afiwo sells gari, oil and other food items and drinks at Duakor, which is a small town near Elmina, which she has done since 1981. Her husband is a mason. Afiwo uses her income to pay for the feeding of the family and the payment of their utility bills. Afiwo will use the loan to purchase more food items to sell. With the new profits from her expanded business, Afiwo plans to support her children's schooling, too.
