Mrs Hean Channy was born in 1959 and she now lives in Kampong Pou village in Kandal Province. She and her husband, Mr Sem Choeurn, are farmers, but they earn only a small income from their plantation. Mrs Hean Channy has six children two of whom are employed in a garment factory while the remaining four are attending high school. Despite their business activities, they live in poor conditions in an old house. In order to improve their standard of living, Mrs Hean Channy decided to ask for a loan to add to her savings in order to buy timbers to build a new house.
