Sugran Sabir Ali's Group

Sugran Sabir Ali is the wife of Sabir Ali and lives in Kasur city, Pakistan. Kasur is famous for its sweetmeat and historical places. She owns a two room brick house and has been living in it for the last 40 years. She is the mother of six children: five sons and one daughter. Her eldest son handles power loom machines. Her second eldest son makes decoratively embroidered clothing. The other children are enrolled in a local neighborhood school. Sugran baji's husband has a musical band that plays at wedding functions. Sugran baji is a housewife and prefers to do household work. She is applying for a loan to buy a musical instrument for her husband's band.

She is joined in her loan group by a few more members. Hamidan M.shafee and Rani M.siddique each want a loan to buy seasonal fruits to resell. Bano Bhoola wants a loan to buy materials (sharp razors, creams, etc.) for her barber shop. Parveen M.aslam wants a loan to buy materials (beads, colored thread, sketches, etc.) for her decorative embroidery business.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
