Flor Hidalgo De Delgado

Mrs. Flor de Maria, a technical nursing specialist and retiree from ESSALUD, is a member of the Nuestra Senora de la Paz (Our Holy Mother of Peace) village bank. She lives in Tarapoto, San Martin, Peru. She works selling juanes (a typical rice dish from the selva) and other prepared foods; on the side, she also sells wild and domesticated chickens. She works out of her home located on Leoncio Prado Street; her customers are generally university students and tourists that visit the city. She has worked in this business for years and it is going very well for her.

With this $1,025 loan which she will repay in 6 months, she will purchase bags of rice, sugar, vegetable oil, vegetables, and meat; she will also purchase feed for the chickens that she raises in her home so that they are ready for sale when her customers want them.

Flor de Maria is 69 years old and has 5 adult children. She lives with her husband who helps her in her business. She is very proud of what she has achieved because it is the fruit of her effort and constant dedication. Her goal is to finish her home and create a better environment to attend to her customers in order to earn a greater income, and re-invest in her business.

La señora Flor de María, de especialidad técnica en enfermería y jubilada en ESSALUD, es socia del Banco Comunal “Nuestra señora de la Paz”. Vive en la Región y provincia de San Martín, distrito de Tarapoto. Se dedica a la venta de juanes y comidas, además complementa el negocio con la venta de aves de corral y aves silvestres. El negocio lo realiza en su domicilio, ubicado en el Jr. Leoncio Prado c-6, sus clientes principales son los estudiantes de la universidad y turistas que visitan la ciudad. Ya tiene bastante tiempo en esta actividad y le va muy bien.

Con el préstamo de S/. 3,000, el cual pagará en 6 meses, comprará sacos de arroz, azúcar, aceite en galones, verduras y carne del diario, también comprará alimentos para los animales menores que cría en su domicilio y tenerlos aptos par al venta cuando sus clientes lo requieran.

Flor de María, tiene 69 años y 5 hijos todos ya independientes, ahora vive con su esposo, quien la apoya en el negocio. Se siente muy orgullosa de lo que ha logrado porque es fruto de su esfuerzo y dedicación constante. Su meta es terminar de arreglar su casa y acondicionar un ambiente para dar mayor comodidad a sus clientes y así obtener mayor ganancia y nuevamente invertir.
