Ghulam Fatima M. Sharif's Group

Ghulam Fatima baji is a wife of M. Sharif and lives in a city named Pakpattan. Pakpattan is famous for its historical and pious places. She owns a two-room brick house and has been living in it for the last 30 years. She is the mother of three children: two sons and one daughter. All of her children are enrolled in a local school in her neighborhood. Ghulam Fatima baji’s husband is a daily wage laborer. She has a business of making cots from rope. She has been in this profession for the last 10 years. Presently, she is out of stock. This is the season for selling cots because, in the summer season, lots of people go outside from their rooms to sleep in an open space. For that it’s very difficult to lift heavy furniture. She requires a loan to buy rope to make more cots to sell.

She is joined in her loan group by a few more members. Keena baji wants a loan to buy more fruits to resell. Manzooran baji wants a loan to buy fertilizer to resell. Zahida baji wants a loan to buy a rope machine to make cots.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
