Matilde

Matilde is single, and lives with her two sons (15 year old Jimy and 11 year old Orlando, who are still studying). She is from the district of Ayaviri, but for the past 6 years she has been living in the city of Juliaca. She sells gold, which she acquires in the La Rinconada mine. She sells it throughout the week in Juliaca, on Sundays in Arequipa, and on Wednesdays and Thursdays in the city of Moquegua. Her work takes up most of her time, and for her it is very difficult to constantly be on the road, but her business is going well and she does what she needs in order to support her children. She sacrifices every day in order to provide a better future for her sons.
Matilde would want to grow her business and in the future have an additional business such as a bookstore or a grocery store.

Matilde es soltera, vive con sus hijos; Jimy de 15 y Orlando de 11, quienes aún son estudiantes de secundaria. Ella es natural del distrito de Ayaviri, pero hace 6 años vive en la cuidad de Juliaca, se dedica a la venta de oro, el cual adquiere de la mina La Rinconada. En Juliaca vende durante la semana, los días domingos en la ciudad de Arequipa, y los días miércoles y jueves en la ciudad de Moquegua.Usualmente, su trabajo le toma la mayor parte del día, para ella es muy difícil tener que estar de viaje en viaje constantemente, pero el negocio va bien y es lo que ella necesita para poder mantener a sus hijos.
