Bonifacio is 26 years old, married, and has 1 child. He has worked making and selling thermos covered in leather for over 7 years. He inherited the trade of working in covering thermos and guampas (drinking horns) for mate and tereré (traditional teas of the region) from his parents and uncles, who taught him how to work on this activity.

The quality of his work has made him well-known in his area, in spite of his youth. He has a high volume of sales, especially at the end of the month and at the end of the year. He also receives orders from the cities of Asuncion, Ciudad del Este, Encarnacion, and even from other countries, like Argentina.

With the loan he would like to acquire the raw materials to do his work, such as leather, thread, paint, needles, thermos, and guampas. He has planned to expand his business by renting a space downtown in the city of Caacupe to display his work. However, he explains that that will happen in a judicious time, because the rent of commercial space in that area is very expensive because that is where the basilica of Caacupe, which receives many visitors from different cities and countries making that a highly commercial zone.
