Juma, age 36, is married with four children ages 9, 7, 4 and 2 weeks. He owns a general store where he sells products such as food and cosmetics. He opened the store six years ago and works daily from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. With his store, he is able to earn a monthly profit of about $430.

In the past, Juma has taken out four loans from Tujijenge Tanzania to build a home for his children and buy more items to sell to his customers. He has paid the loans back successfully, and now hopes for a new loan to increase the size of his shop. He will share this loan with the members of group, which has 17 people in it. These members hold each other accountable for paying back their loans.

Thank you for supporting Juma Sadic and the Songambele-Ukonga group. I am happy to report he is doing extremely well. With the loan Juma received, he increased the stock and has also opened a new frame for the same items. With the increased stock in his business, his monthly profit rose from $430 to about $450 per month! Juma used the additional profits to pay school fees and household expenses. Juma and the Songambele Ukonga group are very grateful for the loan and are thankful to everyone who has supported them.
