Deysi Davila Olortegui

Deysi is a member of the Lord of Miracles Communal Bank and lives in San Martín, Peru. She makes a living selling groceries, vegetables, passementerie, snacks and soft drinks. Her business is located in her home, and her clients are community members who visit her daily to buy products. She decided to start her business with the goal of managing her own income and raise her standard of living by helping with household expenses and her children's education. With the $525 loan, which she plans to repay within four months, she will purchase primary-need products such as rice, sugar, canned goods, condensed milk, oil, noodles, detergents, toilet paper and soft drinks, as well as purchase school supplies like notebooks, pens, erasers. She will also buy personal-care products such as nail polish, nail clippers and medicine, among other items. She wants to keep her business well stocked so she can meet her customers' demands.

Deysi is 30 years old and has three children whom she depends on for support in her home and in her business. Her goal is to grow her business, and she also wants to set up an Internet cafe on the side of her store because her home is big and she has enough space for it.

La señora Deysi es socia del Banco Comunal “Señor de los Milagros II”, vive en la región y provincia de San Martín, distrito de Morales, se dedica a la venta de abarrotes, verduras, pasamanería, golosinas y bebidas gasificadas, su negocio esta ubicado en su propia casa en el Jr. Los Rosales No114, sus clientes son los moradores de su barrio, quienes acuden diariamente a comprar.

Decidió iniciarse en el negocio con la finalidad de manejar sus propios ingresos y aumentar su nivel económico así contribuir con los gastos de la casa sobre todo de sus hijos quienes están estudiando.

Con el préstamo de S/. 1500.00 que será devuelto en 4 meses, comprará productos de primera necesidad como arroz, azúcar en sacos, conservas, leche en cajas, aceite, fideos en paquetes, detergentes, papel higiénico, bebidas gasificadas, además comprará mentol cuadernos, lapiceros, borradores y artículos de pasamanería como esmaltes, corta uñas, medicinas, linternas, entre otros, quiere tener bien surtido su negocio para así llegar a satisfacer las necesidades de sus clientes.

Tiene 30 años y 3 hijos que todavía dependen de ella quienes le apoyan en la casa y en el negocio, su meta en el futuro es ampliar su negocio, también quiere poner un Internet al costado de su tienda en vista que su casa es grande y tiene un ambiente apropiado para ello.
