Nery is an energetic person that works every day of the week as a high school teacher from 1:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. On Satudays, she goes to college in Managua to obtain her college degree and on Sundays she instructs from 8:00 a.m. until 4 p.m. She has 3 children, which study, 2 of them at the university (17 & 18 years old) and one that is on first grade. She has been married for 6 years and receives the support of her husband. She is asking for her 3rd loan which she will use to build the walls of a room and give more security and comfort to her children who are reaching adulthood. With the previous loans Mrs. Serrano was able to cover the bedrooms with plywood, but this time she wants to build concrete walls. She states that the loans have helped her very much and is the only way that they can get ahead because it is very difficult for them to save a certain amount of money to make the much needed home improvements.
