Mrs. Keng Koeun, 45, is the mother of six children and lives in Kampong Chhnang province, Cambodia. To make her standard of living, Mrs. Keng Koeun breeds pigs at her home, making around $3 each day in revenue. Her husband is a motor-taxi driver transporting passengers to different locations in his town, earning around $3 each day of income.
In the early morning, she starts giving food and bathing her pigs and at noon and in the evening she does the same thing. Doing so frequently will make her pigs healthy and grow fast. The pig food she buys from the market is not enough for her livestock supplies, so what she has to do is collect the waste of food from her neighbor's houses in bulk and cooks them with morning glory. This loan is her second loan with KIVA. She was so impressive with the impact of the loan on her family and her business. Recently, Mrs. Keng Koeun has applied for a loan to purchase more piglets and pig's food for her pigs.

Journal Update Entrepreneur: Keng Koeun Location: Kampong Chnang Province, Cambodia Keng Koeun took out a loan of US$800 to purchase feed and raise more pigs. She has been very pleased with the result of her investment and can see her business growing. Currently, she prepare to sell the pigs and she hopes she can make more money to raise her standard of living. If she makes more money she will reinvest raising more pigs again. She would like to see her business expanded and her income continue to increase, and in the future she will not hesitate to borrow again.
