Dionicio is 49 years old, lives with her husband and their young daughters. Throughout her life she has worked selling livestock; she began living in the city of Huancayo to improve the situation of her family. She brought with her some animals that she had and was eventually able to acquire several others which she sells in markets on weekends. She sells sheep, llamas and alpacas, and thus, was able to educate her 7 children, now there is only one who is less than 16 years old. It is very difficult for her when the climate dips very low and the demand for animals decreases; this does not stop her from continuing to work to get ahead. Dionicio wants to increase her working capital and thus is asking for a loan that would allow her to obtain a greater number of animals. (The photo was taking during a rainstorm due to the remoteness of Dionicio’s home and the inability to find a place with more lighting)
