Yun Sovan, 44, is married and lives with eight of her children in the Siem Reap province of Cambodia. Since 1998 Sovan has had a business making many kinds of baskets. Her husband, Pich Bunphoeun (pictured from his house) owns a motorbike with a trailer and travels around the province selling Sovan's baskets. Sovan employs two of her children as security and waitress. The other children help their mother making baskets.
Sovan would like a loan of $500 to purchase more bamboo. This will allow her to make more baskets to sell.
