Husna Rana M.anwar

Husna Kanwal Baji is the wife of Rana M. Anwar and lives in an area named Yadgar (a famous historical place) in Lahore, Pakistan. She owes a two-room house and has been living in it for the last 20 years. She is the mother of seven children: four sons and three daughters. Her elder son works in a spare parts shop. The next eldest is an employee in a newspaper company named “Inkilab”. Her younger sons are enrolled in a school and are in 5th standard (level). Her first two daughters completed 12th grade. Her younger daughter is in 6th standard.

Hussna Baji is a housewife but she sews clothes and earns a profit. Her husband, Rana M.Anwar, is a newspaper seller. He buys newspapers from a newspaper market and distributes them to various places. He has been in this profession for the last 10 years.

Husna Baji successfully completed three loans from Asasah (a microfinance institute of Pakistan) and expanded her husband’s business. Now she is applying for a loan for the same purpose (to purchase more newspapers).
