Farhat Muhammad Tariq's Group

Farhat baji is a wife of Muhammad Tariq and lives in a city named Arifwala, Pakistan. She owns a three-room brick house. She is the mother of two children: one daughter and one son. Her son runs a grocery shop. Her daughter is in 8th standard. Her husband is a milk seller and has been in this profession for the last 12 years. In Pakistan, milk is typically sold door-to-door each day. Farhat baji is a housewife and prefers to stay home and do housework. Farhat baji successfully completed two loans from Asasah (a microfinance institute of Pakistan). Now she is requesting a loan to buy more materials (rice, lentils) for her son's grocery shop and to buy more milk for her husband's business.

She is joined in her loan group by: Sardaran baji, Shahnaz baji and Ruqaiya baji who are requesting loans to buy more fruits for their fruit businesses; and Bilquis baji who requests a loan to buy more materials for her grocery shop.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
