Sugran baji is the wife of Mukhtar Ahmad and has a sugarcane juice business. Sugran baji has been living in an area named Yadgar (a famous historical place) in Lahore for the last 20 years. Her husband Mukhtar Ahmad sells sugarcane juice and has been in this profession for the last 25 years. Sugran baji currently has two juice machines running. She is the mother of nine children: four sons and five daughters. All of her sons sell sugarcane juice in different places. Her elder daughter sews clothes. Her younger daughters are enrolled in a local school in her neighborhood. Sugran baji successfully completed three loans from Asasah (a microfinance institute of Pakistan), with all payments on time. Now she is requesting a loan to buy materials (motor engine, generator and wheel) for a new sugarcane juice machine, so that she can expand her business.
