Razia Siddique Masih's Group

Razia baji is the wife of Siddique Masih and has lived in Borewala for the past 3 years. She owns a two room brick house. She is the mother of two sons. Her elder son, who is 19 years old, works with Warid Telecommunication Company. Razia baji’s husband is also an employee in this company. Her next eldest son, who is 18 years old, wants to start a barber shop. Therefore, she is applying for a loan for her son to buy materials to start this business.

She is joined in her loan group by a few more members: Yasmeen baji wants a loan to buy wooden furniture to resell; Salma baji wants a loan to buy more chickens to resell; Farzana baji wants a loan to buy a donkey cart; and Shahida baji wants a loan to buy more vegetables for her vegetable business.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
