Mrs. Eth Khoem, 37 years old, has five children, four of whom are employed in a garment factory, while the youngest one is attending school. Mrs. Eth Khoem herself is a farmer, cultivating crops twice a year. During the rainy season, Mrs. Eth Khoem cultivates rice, while, in the dry season, she grows other types of crops. Her husband, Mr. Khom Khet, works as a palm juice collector for making palm sugar. The family lives in the Sya Village in Kampong Speu Province, and, even though almost all of its members are involved in various business activities, the family's standard of living is low.
