Nasreen Muhammad Ayub's Group

Nasreen baji is the wife of Muhammad Ayub. She has lived in the city of Borewala, Pakistan, for the last 4 years. She is the mother of four children: two sons and two daughters. All of her children are in kindergarten (in Pakistan the age at which children start school varies). Her husband is a university graduate who teaches in a school and also has a livestock business. Nasreen baji does domestic chores and sells milk. She is applying for a loan to buy another buffalo for her husband to resell.

Nasreen baji is joined in her loan group by a few other members. Sakina baji wants a loan to buy more materials for her grocery shop. Ruqaiya baji wants a loan to buy medicine to resell. Kaneez baji wants a loan to buy a donkey cart. Suraiya baji wants a loan to buy a sewing machine.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in their own business. The members mutually guarantee each other's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
