Yuly still travels by bus weekly where she buys clothing in the large, open-air market in Santo Domingo. There she purchases clothing such as shirts, pants, and undergarments in bulk. Depending on the item, Yuly can resell it for a profit of 10-50 pesos profit. She still travels to Bavaro, but prefers to sell from her house where she can look after her children. Yuly recently expanded her business to include the purchase of used clothing from members of her community. She currently has the market advantage of being the only person who sells these items in her town. With her profits she has been saving little by little, but her main priority is making sure that her children continue their education.
