Josephine Namuli is the group leader of Suubilyamukama Lending Group in Lugazi. For eight years she has been selling new clothes that include traditional bitenge, casual wear and suits mostly for ladies as well as children's wear. She is a married woman with five school-going children.

Josephine buys her clothes from Kampala, making the trip twice a week, and so far business is good. Her dream is to be able to buy a sewing machine so that she can make most of the clothes herself, as this will help her save more.

Josephine is asking for a loan to help her buy more clothes for her shop. She will share this loan with the members of her group.

Journal Entrepreneur: Suubilyamukama Lending Group Location: Lugazi, Uganda Namuli Josephine was able to buy enough clothes mostly for women and children for her shop using the share of the loan received through her lending group. So far repaying back her loan has not been a problem because she used her loan constructively; yet the benefits are tremendous with the accumulated savings obtained. She is grateful for the opportunity of being given a loan through Kiva.
