Thank you for your loan through Kiva to Hamisa Choaji, a SELFINA client and micro-entrepreneur. The purpose of this journal is to update you on Hamisa and the status of her business. As you know, your generosity helped Hamisa obtain a loan of $275 in July 2008. She is running cafe business and used the loan to purchase ingredients in bulk. She works six days at her business and 9-12 hours per day. Since she took out the loan, her business has been doing well and Hamisa’s monthly profits have increased from 50 to 80 usd. She has used these extra profits to buy food for her family and pay bills. In the future, she is planning to expand her business. On the personal front, her family is doing well. As you may remember, she is married and had two children.
