Gifty is 31 years old and has two children. She earns income selling fresh fish in the village to customers who then use the fish to prepare their dishes. Gifty currently needs a loan to buy additional trays of fresh fish for sale. This, she believes, would enable her to save some money to be able to afford renting a store for her operations and also to support her husband in paying their children’s school fees. Gifty is a member of the group called Isaiah whose members agree to provide a guarantee for each other as social collateral to repay their loans.

Update on Gifty Biney

Entrepreneur: Gifty Biney
Location: Obuasi, Ghana

Gifty Biney wants to say that she is very thankful to her proud and cherished lenders for the impact they have caused in her business through their loans. She needed additional working capital in the form of loan to purchase fresh fish in bulk. She says your timely response to her needs has really put smiles on her face and has really impacted her business positively. She was resourced with a loan amount of $400 which facilitated the change.

Gifty says the new stock of fresh fishes she purchased have enabled her to win more customers, especially during the Christmas festivities. She says but for the loan, she wouldn’t have procured enough fishes to serve all her customers. She says her kids are also doing very well at school and their school fees are no longer a headache. She is regular with her repayment. She is very thankful and appreciative to you all for the valuable contribution you have made in her business life and that matter her family.
