Teresa, aged 22, is a young mother of a small son aged just 2, who provides both her reason for and strength to continue fighting. Teresa is from the village of Orcotuna, and she has lived there since she was born. Many have left for other towns searching for a better future, but Teresa hasn’t: she believes she can have a bright future and give her son the best of everything in her hometown.

Teresa trusts in her hands and in the land, which is the source of her sustenance. Teresa’s fields produce alfalfa, which is the feed for her livestock, who provide milk which she sells in the livestock market. Teresa is very courageous and knows how to control her animals, especially bulls, which she also breeds, raises and then sells in the market. Although she’s only spent one year working in this profession, Teresa is already an expert livestock farmer. The money she is asking for is in order to sow alfalfa on more of her land and to be able to buy the necessary seeds and fertiliser to do this. Teresa believes in the land, and she asks that you believe in her.
