Full Contact Group

Anouse Jean lives in Troud du Nord, Haiti, the poorest country in the western hemisphere. Desperate times call for great measures and Anouse took the opportunity to receive a loan to begin her small business. At just fourteen, Anouse has already accepted and paid off one loan in full. She is now asking for her second loan from Esperanza International. The money from this loan will go towards purchasing more cosmetics that she is able to sell in the streets of Haiti. This loan has made it possible for Anouse to earn enough money to live on and even begin to save. She dreams of one day owning her own house.

Anouse Jean is the leader of the 10 person micro-bank, Full Contact. Each of these unique Haitian entrepreneurs unite in solidarity, allowing them to access funding that they would otherwise never be able to receive on their own. The concept of this group paying their loan together is to reduce the risk of one person defaulting, as the others members gladly help cover one another’s payments in order to receive their next loan together. Like Anouse, most of these entrepreneurs dream of someday owning their own house, an impressive goal in a country that is filled with slum lords and oppression, a goal that will provide a future for families and communities in these areas

About Group Loans
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
