Júlia Tomás Nhacuonga

She was born and raised in a family environment with her parents but when she was young her aunt invited her to live with her because she did not have any children. She was going to school and in her free time would help her aunt with her work in Machamba.

She returned to her parents' home when she was 15. Due to the war and her health she interrupted her studies and went to live in the city of Maputo with her oldest sister. When she was 16 she had her first child. As soon as the war ended she returned to her parents' home and began to work as a volunteer activist for the Institute of Social Action in 1998.

Currently she works in the ONG Imagine as a community coordinator. With the loan she intends to purchase beams, zinc plates, and cement to build a home where she has sufficient space. Work is moving along reasonably well. In the future she longs to build a mini grocery store to help with the family income.

Júlia Tomás Nhacuonga casada maritalmente, tem 33 anos de idade, nasceu em catembe aos 06 de Setembro de 1975, estudou até 6ª classe, sustenta 3 filhos e todos estudam.
Nasceu e cresceu num ambiente familiar com os pais, só que cedo a tia convida-a viver com ela pois esta não tinha filhos, estudava e nos tempos livres ajudava a tia nos trabalhos da machamba.
Regressa a casa dos pais quando tinha 15 anos de idade, devido a problemas da guerra e de saúde interrompe os estudos e passa viver na Cidade de maputo com a irmà mais velha. Aos 16 anos teve seu 1º filho e logo que termina a guerra regressa a casa dos pais e começa a trabalhar como activista voluntária no Instituto de ação social em 1998. Actualmente trabalha na ONG imagine como coordenadora comunitária.
Com o crédito pretende comprar barrotes, chapas de zinco e cimento e tem espaço sufuciente para erguer sua casa e conseguiu-o por trespasse e as obras estão a decorrer razoavelmente.
No futuro almeja construir uma mini mercearia para ajudar na renda da familia.
