Rose has been operating her small food shop for 20 years. She sells her food mostly to families that live in the area. Rose’s main challenges are the thieves in the area and stiff competition.
Rose plans to use this loan to buy sugar, salt, rice and maize flour. By increasing her stock, Rose hopes to keep her customers coming back. In addition, buying these raw materials in bulk will decrease her transportation costs.
Through her loans and the profits from her business, Rose has been able to contribute to the running of the home and to paying the school fees of her children.
Rose has successfully paid back more than 20 loans since working with MCDT. She hopes one day she can afford to build a house and buy a big refrigerator.
