The leader of this small group is Rose Foni. She currently sells beer and is requesting a loan to open up a bar. Rose is 30 years old and is married to a peasant. She has three children, ranging from age 7 to 15, all of whom go to school. Each week, Rose makes approximately 80 Sudanese pounds in profit. With the extra capital from her loan, she hopes to open up a bar.

Rose is joined in her small group by Poni Sale, Juru Laida, Ruth Kabu, and Jane Ayaa. Poni sells vegetables at the market (like okra and cabbages) and wants to expand her business. Juru sells charcoal at home and wants a loan to pay school fees for her children. Ruth sells bread at the market and wants to build an oven. Jane sells beans and posho at the market and is requesting a loan to open up a bar.
