The members of the Kankéléntigui group are married women with, on average, 5 children and are approximately 38 years old. They live in polygamous families with their husbands, children and other wives in the village of Banankoro in the Kati / Koulikoro region. The group met through their neighbourhood, families or friends. They all have various small businesses selling different staples (condiments, food, fruit and vegetables, clothing for children, etc.). The majority of the group members buy supplies once a month in Bamako, or in the village itself. However, food and condiment supplies are best supplied daily or weekly according to the season. In order to obtain additional resources for their business, the Kankéléntigui group members decided to join the Soro Yiriwaso Micro finance institution which has just granted their first loan. They would like to each benefit from a monthly income of 13.000 to 16.000 FCFA. The diversification of their activities is a permanent concern of the group members.
