Sut Lin, 36, is married and lives with her husband in Siem Reap province. She and her husband have a business selling coffee, rice and noodles. On average, they make $5 in profits each day. This couple has four children, one of whom is married and no longer lives at home; another child works in security, typically earning around $140 per month.

Mrs. Sut Lin would like a loan of $1000 to invest in her existing business and to purchase a motorbike for her child to commute to work. This loan would allow her family to increase their income through greater profit from their coffee sales. Mrs. Sut and her husband are pictured above.

A CREDIT MFI loan officer recently visited Sut to check on her progress. After receiving her loan, Sut bought a motorbike for her children to commute to work and reinvest on her existing business selling coffee. She has been very pleased with the result of her investments and can see her business growing. She complain to the global economic. There are so many people are unemployed especially her her village. She said that some of the villager in her village are hotel workers and since there is a crisis most of the people are suspend their work or reduce the salary.
