Loan Update Entrepreneur: Ou San Location: Russey Keo, Phnom Penh,, Cambodia Ou San lives with his wife and five children near Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Ou is a fisherman, and his wife is a recycler. Ou requested a loan to purchase more more materials to recycle. I recently visited Ou, who lives in a small village about 20km upstream from Phnom Penh on the Tonle Sap river. When we arrived and greeted Ou, the credit officer told us that it was a bad time to visit. The family just had a fight and nobody was in the mood to talk because their fishing boat was just stolen. I didn't want to press the issue much more, but I imagine that making repayments to CREDIT (Kiva's local partner) will become much more difficult for the family with their major income source gone.
