Dum Simun

Thank you for your loan. It has been disbursed to Dum Simun by CREDIT, a partner of World Relief in Cambodia. We are excited to watch this business grow. Over the next 18 months, CREDIT, a partner of World Relief will be collecting repayments from this entrepreneur and posting progress updates on the Kiva website.

Dum Simun, 58, is a married mother who works as farmer. She makes around $1.00 each day. Her husband farms vegetables and everyday he earns approximately $1.50 by selling those vegetables in the market. They have four children and all of them have their own businesses that help support the family.

Dum Simun took out a loan to purchase a trailer to transport vegetables and the rest is used to purchase a another plot of land to expand her cultivation. She has been pleased with the result of her investments and can see her business growing. So far, she is able to make a combine together with her husband about US$8 of profit every day. She has no problems paying a loan to CREDIT.

She would like to see her business expanded and her income continue to increase, and in the future she will not hesitate to borrow again. She looks forward to the opportunities provided by this loan and has been very pleased with the results so far.
