Journal Update Entrepreneur: Ving Chanthol Location: Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia Ving Chanthol, 52, lives with her two children and niece in Kampong Cham, Cambodia. Ving sells silk clothing, and requested this loan so she could buy more silk for her business. A loan officer from CREDIT recently visited Ving to ask about her loan. Ving said she used the money to buy more silk to sew. She is now able to sell more clothing at the market, and she said that her income increased, but couldn't say by how much. As a result, her standard of living has improved, and she can spend more on her family. In the future, Ving plans to use her savings to purchase a stand in the market where she can sell her clothes directly, instead of selling them to a middleman.
