Loan Update Entrepreneur: Chhem Chhunlay Location: Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia Chhem Chhunlay, 26, lives with her husband and two young children in the Kampong Cham province. Chhem farms and sells rice, and her husband is a construction worker. They earn $2 and $3 per day, respectively. (Chem previously took out a loan with Kiva, which you can view here: http://partners.kiva.org/app.php?page=businesses&action=about&id=27574) A CREDIT loan officer recently visited Chhem to learn more about her business. Chhem bought cows with her loan, and uses them to plow her rice fields. She said that her income has increased as a result. Chhem said that CREDIT provides good service, and is thankful for the low interest they provide.
