Loan Update

Entrepreneur: Chhoun Sovan
Location: Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia

Chhoun Sovan, 59, lives with her husband and children in Kampong Cham, Cambodia. Chhoun sells a noodle dish, and her husband is a construction worker. Chhoun requested this loan so she could buy ducks to raise for eggs.

A CREDIT MFI loan officer recently visited Chhoun to check on her progress. After receiving her loan, Chhoun bought ducks and now harvests their eggs. She said that her income has increased as a result of her new business, and that she has seen a gradual rise in her standard of living.

In the future, Chhoun wants to buy more ducks to raise, and also wants to open a grocery stand near her house to get additional income. When asked, Chhoun said she was thankful to CREDIT for its good service, and to Kiva lenders for supporting her loan.
