Loan Update Entrepreneur: Vek Lim Location: Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia Vek Lim, 58, lives with her husband and three children in Kampong Cham, Cambodia. Yek and her husband are farmers, and they requested this loan so she could buy more land to cultivate her rice. A CREDIT MFI loan officer recently visited Vek to check on her progress. After receiving her loan, Vek bought a plot of land near her house. She says that she has already been able to reap the benefits of the extra land, and that her income has increased. She has to spend more on fertilizer and other farming goods, but overall her standard of living is improving. In the future, Vek hopes to start a business of buying and selling cows. When asked, Vek said she was thankful to CREDIT for its good service, and to Kiva lenders for supporting her loan.
