Razia Ghulam Abba's Group

Razia baji has lived in the city of Kasur, Pakistan for the past fifteen years. She has a three room brick house and is the mother of five sons. Her husband, Ghulam Abbas, is a cook and runs his own small shop with the famous name, Ghulam Abbas Hotel. Her eldest two sons run a grocery shop and her third son reads in the second standard. Razia baji makes embroidered dresses and will use the loan to diversify her embroidery business.

Razia baji's group has three other women as members. Sakina baji will use the funds for her grocery shop. Arshad baji and Hamidan baji each have a vegetable business and will invest in them.

This is a group loan. The funds will be distributed among the members and each will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans and if one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.



About Group Loans
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
