Rafael Iskenderov

Rafael Iskenderov, 48, sells milk to the local milk factory. He has more than 20 years' experience in raising cows. Rafael, his wife and their four children live in the southern region of Bilasuvar, in the Internally Displaced People Settlement. He works as a teacher in a local school and receives social support in the amount of $70 US as an Internally Displaced Person. But the combined salary of $30 US and social support is just not enough to cover basic family needs. To somehow improve his condition he started keeping a cow, but the milk from that cow goes to family needs rather than to the milk factory. Rafael thinks that he needs an additional two cows to expand his milk sales to the factory; they will increase his income and improve his life condition. For this purpose he is applying for $1200 US.
