Twaha Ally, who was interviewed for the business profile, has paid back the loan but dropped out of the group because his business was not doing well. However, we got the opportunity to speak with the new group leader, Juma Abas. Juma has a business of purchasing potatoes upcountry and selling them wholesale in the Dar es Salaam area. With the loan he received, he purchased more potatoes. Depending on price fluctuations, he is able to earn a monthly profit of around $86-130. He uses the profits from his business to feed his three children and pay for their school fees. Juma and his group are very grateful for the loan and truly appreciate all your support.
