Modesta, Justina and Maria are members of the Community Bank of Santa Bárbara: the members are from the community of the same name which belongs to the District of Tambillos which is 30 minutes from the town of Ayacucho.


Modesta is a single mother: she is 41 years old, and has two children. Modesta travels to the fairs in the region selling fruits and buying cereal grains which she then processes and sells in the markets of Ayacucho. In addition, Modesta raises guinea-pigs.


Justina is also a single mother, aged 48 and with one daughter. Justina travels to different regional fairs where she sells various types of fruit and purchases cereals which she then sells in the markets in Ayacucho town. Additionally, Justina raises young animals for livestock.


Meanwhile Maria is also a single mother, aged 33 and with one daughter. Maria has a grocery store she runs from her house: additionally she raises young animals for livestock.


Modesta, Justina and Maria need loans of 600, 1000 and 1500 soles, money which will be invested in the purchase of wheat, barley, broad beans, peas and guinea-pigs for fattening.


Modesta, Justina and Maria dream of being able to educate their children, increase their capital, and have a large barn and recreation area.

Modesta, Justina y Maria son socias del Banco Comunal Santa Bárbara, las socias son de la comunidad del mismo nombre que pertenece al Distrito de Tambillos que queda a 30 minutos de la ciudad de Ayacucho.


Modesta es madre soltera, tiene 41 años y 2 hijos, Modesta viaja a las ferias de la región donde vende frutas y de las ferias compra cereales que luego procesa y vende en los mercados de la ciudad de Ayacucho. Además Modesta se dedica a la crianza de cuyes.


Por otro lado Justina es madre soltera, tiene 48 años y 1 hija, Justina viaja a las diferentes ferias de la región donde vende frutas variadas y de las ferias compra cereales que vende en los mercados de la ciudad de Ayacucho. Además Justina se dedica a crianza de animales menores.


Mientras que Maria es madre soltera, tiene 33 años y 1 hija, Maria tiene una tienda de abarrotes en su casa, además se dedica a la crianza de animales menores.
