Greetings from Tanzania! Thank you for supporting the Kasi Mpya group. Unfortunately, the entrepreneur originally interviewed for the business profile is no longer with the group. However, we did get to speak with Joyce Robert, a fellow group member and chairperson of the group. Joyce has a business of selling clothes, kangas and vitenge (traditional Swahili fabrics) door-to-door. Before the loan, her monthly profit was around $26 per month. With the loan Joyce received, she purchased more kanga and vitenge for her business. She has paid back the loan successfully and is now earning a monthly profit of around $34. Joyce uses the profits to pay for school fees for her four children as well as her brother. Joyce says the loan has really helped her. Joyce and the Kasi Mpya group are very grateful for the loan and are thankful to everyone who has supported them.
