Razia Allah Wasaya's Group

Razia is 46 years old, and is three years younger than her husband whose name is Allah Wasaya. Her husband runs a small tea shop. However, her husband's shop is out of tea. Therefore, Razia is requesting a loan of $1,450. She has been joined in her loan group by a few more members: Kosar wants a loan to repair her rickshaw; Irshad wants a loan to expand her food business; Kosar wants loan to expand her clothing sheets business; and Kosar wants to expand her business of making bleach and cleaning solvents. This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.



About Group Loans
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
