Madeleine sells a diverse array of products -- charcoal, alcohol, soup, eggs, vinegar, rice oil, drinks, and local foods such as "gari," a snack of manioc flour and water, -- to name just a few. The larger the selection, the more profitable she finds her business. Her shops is located on a quiet street off the main road. Most of her clients pay in cash, but some pay her back on credit. The loans have helped her to feel more calm about her financial responsibilities through allowing her to pay her rent and to take care of her children and herself. In the future, she would like to buy all her products in bulk, starting with larger crates of milk and soap.

Dans le futur, elle voudrait s'approvisionner en gros, en commençant avec les plus grands cartons de lait et cartons de savon.
