Loan Update Entrepreneur: Srey Reoun Location: Prey Veng Province, Cambodia Srey Sareoun, 28, lives with her two children and her husband in Prey Veng, Cambodia. She works in a garment factory, and her husband is a construction foreman. Srey previously borrowed through Kiva via CREDIT MFI. Please view her loan here. Srey requested this new loan to buy more construction equipment for her husband's business. A CREDIT MFI loan officer recently visited Srey to check on her progress. After receiving her loan, Srey gave the money to her husband, who purchased a cement mixer. He says that his job has become much easier now, and his income has increased as a result of higher productivity. He reinvests the extra income by purchasing more construction tools. When asked about any problems, Srey said that her husband sometimes must take a loss on the business because of estimates on construction projects which are too low. When asked, Srey said she was thankful to CREDIT for its good service, and to Kiva lenders for supporting her loan.
