Ysidoro lives with his wife and two children (ages: 12, 15) in the busy town of San Pedro de Macoris. He owns a small street-side business where he sells a variety of fried foods. This loan will be used to buy flour, oil, meat, and vegetables for the popular Dominican food called “empanada”. In the future, he would like to move his business from the street to a proper store where he would be able sell a variety of different foods. Ysidoro loves his children, and he takes great pride in sending them to a good school. He hopes that once his business grows even more he will be able to start saving for their college education.

Update Entrepreneur: Hebreo Group Location: San Pedro De Macorís, Dominican Republic Ysidoro, as a member of the microfinance bank “Hebreo”, along with his fellow four bank members, all successfully terminated their loan payments. Ysidoro repaid his third loan of 8,000 pesos (approximately $230) and decided to no longer continue to take loans out with his microfinance bank as his fellow members had difficulties completing their payments. Ysidoro is now planning to seek an individual loan with Esperanza since his financial and business situation now qualifies him for such. Ysidoro’s business, “Fritura Ysidoro” provides the income to maintain his family and is describes very positively by his loan officer, as very responsible with his loan payments. On behalf of Ysidoro, his fellow bank members and Esperanza International, we thank you for your support of this group.
