The “Estrellas” Association is located in the center of Villa Tejada. Headed by its president, Mrs. Carmiña Gutiérrez, they have shown themselves to be an accomplished and organized group. Said group is comprised of sixteen members who have worked for more than one year with Pro-Mujer. The primary activity of these women is retail, dedicating themselves to the sale of vegetables, handmade chocolates, ice cream, and cell phone cases. They market their products in an ambulatory manner, given they do not count on established sites from which to sell their wares. The group needs additional capital to lease a stall/stand where they can be assured of making transactions. In this manner, they would generate more income to help improve the financial situation of their households.

La asociación “Estrellas” pertenece al centro focal de Villa Tejada, a la cabeza de la Sra. Carmiña Gutiérrez como presidenta demuestran ser un grupo cumplido y organizado. El mencionado grupo esta formado por 16 socias que trabajan hace mas de un año con Pro-Mujer. El comercio informal es la actividad principal de estas mujeres, se dedican a la venta de fruta, chocolates artesanales, helados, estuches de celulares, productos que por lo general los ofrecen de manera ambulante, ya que no cuentan con puestos propios de venta por lo que necesitan mayor capital para el alquiler o compra de dichos puestos de venta lo que les aseguraría una venta segura de sus productos. De esta forma generarian mayores ingresos para mejorar la economia de sus hogares.
