The Committee of Enterprising Women was developed by Fundación Paraguaya as a communal bank that offers credit to enterprising women. This program was formed with consideration for the economic, social, and personal needs of the poorest women in the country.

Thanks to the excellent achievements of past groups, these satisfied women invite other friends or relatives to form a new group. That was how this current group of 17 women was born. They hold many types of commercial activities to generate income for their families.

These women work ceaselessly in order to create a better future for their children, provide them with health and education opportunities that they never had. In this way, their children can have a better quality of life through better jobs. Wives, mothers, and micro entrepreneurs, these women are employed in activities such as: selling food, clothing, lottery tickets and newspapers, fashion, fruit, crafts, chicken; recycling; and managing restaurants.

The loan is an important tool for these women to strengthen their small businesses. The loans will be reinvested in their businesses and the earnings will generate important savings. Today they are asking for a new loan that will be invested in various supplies, such as: fruits, vegetables, chicken, corn, fabrics, threads, plastics and cartons to recycle. They’ll also buy ingredients to make fast food, like: meat, ham, cheese, eggs, flour, etc.
